a few hours ago i reeeally wanted to go home and watch Kick-Ass the major motion picture! alas, i was at work and could not leave for such petty reasons. so, i did the next best thing. put on some E.S. Posthumus and opened up Photoshop. here's what happened:

Oh Girl album artwork

so if you were following any of the garbage i mentioned on Twitter, you'd know that i spent the last couple weeks working on the album artwork for the two-man, alternative, improv, indie-rock band, Oh Girl. they have a really cool way of releasing their album this month! two songs every month, for the next five months! first up was two songs that i had the honor of illustrating: "nyc" and "Batman". what's even better is that when you visit Band Camp you get to listen to the songs (which are EXTREMELY catchy) and, if you like them, download a mini package that includes the two songs AND the album artwork in high quality! finally got my digital setup reestablished at home! been a long time since i've used Corel Painter, so i thought i'd do a quick color sketch to get reacquainted with this sweet program. got a ways to go before i'm back to 100% though.

for the Nickelodeon gallery

so here it is, the piece i did for the gallery this week at work. it's actually 1 of a 3-piece series. a couple buddies (Fred & Emily from the new Avatar spin-off... the cartoon, not the blue people) did the other two pieces. the series is called "These ARE the Droids You're Looking For". i think they plan to put up their pieces on our Chocolate Lab blog, so you can hop on over to check 'em out.



i decided to sell this original for 150 US dollars and prints for 20. please email me if you'd like a print (and let me know if you want it signed or something). i think might make it a limited offer (only 25 prints), so resolve your internal debate quickly.
